In 2020, the State of California appointed the first statewide Chief Data Officer with the goal of empowering the use of data in the Golden State – this includes improving access, governance, and data use and ability.
Nonprofits TechCA and Women in Data are hosting a special roundtable discussion on how we can – and we must – work together in achieving these goals. We will also spotlight the important role diversity and equity must play in these goals.
We believe shaping the future with data and AI is a team sport. It takes the collaboration of government, NGOs, technology, and practitioners, which is why we are hosting this important roundtable discussion.
The in-person/online discussion will be hosted on Zoom, open and free for anyone who wants to attend online. Registration is required.
