Former California state deputy director Tony Fortenberry has joined Red Hat as Public Sector Services Business Development Manager for the Western US.

Previously he served as California Office of Systems Integration deputy director for the Child Welfare Digital Services project and has contributed to state and local government initiatives for the past 20 years.

A longtime advocate of free and open-source software for the public sector, Fortenberry’s focus is helping government programs migrate to open standards environments to better serve the public interest.
