The TechCA Small Business Committee has developed a new mentorship initiative to support startups and emerging vendors in California’s government technology market.

The program, which will be discussed as an agenda item at the committee’s next meeting on September 23, is designed to help newer businesses navigate the complex state procurement landscape and gain a foothold in the public sector.

Key components of the proposal include educational sessions on how to engage with state agencies, feedback surveys to identify market barriers, and a mentorship network that pairs startups with seasoned contractors and consulting firms.

In addition, the initiative includes a small business spotlight and recognition program to highlight innovation and progress among participating vendors.
